Spoon carved from a slightly curved piece of Silver Birch. Timber collected from East Woodlands, Somerset and carved with axe and knives.
As I carved this spoon a slight discolouration appeared almost bisecting the handle. The rest of the spoon was carved around that to preserve the inclusion and bring a natural character to the whole.
